Soccer Trio Named As NAIA Scholar-Athletes

Three Brenau soccer players were honored as 2017 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes, the conference announced Friday.

Soccer players Taylor Bennett, Sara Heard and Chayla Park were recognized for their outstanding academic achievement.

All three athletes were previously honored as Appalachian Athletic Conference All-Academic team members.

In order to be nominated, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, must appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport and have attended two full years as a non-transfer or one full year as a transfer.
