Soccer Players Receive Post-Season Conference Honors

The Appalachian Athletic Conference honored seven Brenau University soccer players for their outstanding achievements, the conference office announced on Wednesday.

Taylor Bennett, Sara Heard, Elli Johnson, Jensen Meaux, Chayla Park, Shelly Restificar and Ashley Spring were each honored as 2017 AAC All-Academic team members for their academic successes.

All-Academic team members must have attained a 3.25 or higher grade point average and have completed at least two terms of attendance to qualify for this honor.

Heard also was chosen as the Brenau Champions of Character award winner. The Champions of Character award is given to the team member that best represents the NAIA Five Core Values of Integrity, Respect, Responsibility, Sportsmanship and Servant Leadership.
