Bluefield Slips By Brenau in AAC Play

The Brenau soccer team fell 2-0 to Bluefield College in an Appalachian Athletic Conference matchup on Saturday in Bluefield, Virginia.
The Rams' Jacquelyn Chick scored in the 28th minute to put the Rams ahead, and then Emma Donohoe scored the insurance goal in the 80th minute to close out the match.
Brenau keepers Anela Melton and Ashley Spring combined to save four shots on goal, while the Rams' Amanda Brown saved five shots to earn the win. For the match, the Golden Tigers were outshot 13-8.
Brenau (0-3-2 overall, 0-1-1 AAC) next travels to Montreat (NC) College (0-3) on Tuesday for a 5 pm conference showdown.
