Taylor Commits to Brenau Soccer
The Brenau soccer team announces the signing of Kyree Taylor to the 2016-17 team.
Taylor, the daughter of Syreeta Spencer and Kyron Stewart, is an outstanding player for both Niceville High School in Niceville, Florida and the Gulf Coast Texans East U18 soccer club.
During her senior season, Taylor, who is a gifted offensive player, scored 18 goals and received the Golden Boot Award for most goals scored in both 2014 and 2015. To add to that, Taylor was named the Destin Rodeo Tournament MVP in back to back years- once again in 2014 and 2015. She also notched 10 assists during her standout year and was named to the 9th Annual Subway High School All-Star Soccer team by the Pensacola Sports Association.
When asked about her commitment to Brenau, Taylor responded, "I love the coaches and I felt like they would make sure not only that I become a better player, but also make me love the sport more. I'm from a small town and where Brenau is located, it's similar to my hometown and I felt like it was close to home."
According to head coach Mike Lochstampfor, "We are very excited to have Kyree join our Golden Tiger soccer family! She brings a lot of passion to our team with her style of play and will increase our team speed significantly. Kyree adds another component to the attacking side of our game and I have little doubt that she will make an immediate impact!"
