Satterfield Signs with Soccer
Brenau soccer announces the signing of Alexis Satterfield to the 2016-17 team.
Satterfield, the daughter of Rachael and Shawn Koren, is a native of Dahlonega, Georgia and a player at Lumpkin County High School and for the UFA club team.
During her career at Lumpkin County, the standout was honored as the 2015 Blitz Player of the Year, a 2015 First Team All-Region selection and was the Lumpkin County Offensive Most Valuable Player from 2014-16. Satterfield also served as the team captain and scored 34 goals during her career.
Satterfield is also an excellent student who was in the National Honor Society, Beta Club and involved in both the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and volunteer work in her community.
When asked about her commitment to the Golden Tigers, Satterfield said, "Brenau has awesome coaches and players and is a respected school. I am very blessed to be a future Golden Tiger and to become part of their excellent soccer program."
"I am very excited to have Alexis join the Golden Tiger soccer family," said head coach Mike Lochstampfor. "She will be a great fit for our team. As a player, Alexis will bring a lot of energy to our offense and will add some much needed depth to our attack. Additionally, she is an exceptional student and I am thrilled she has chosen Brenau!"
Satterfield, who plans on majoring in Education, is the first signee for the 2016-17 team.
