Soccer Falls to #5 William Carey

The Brenau soccer team struggled to find their offense in a 3-0 loss against #5 William Carey (Miss.) University on Saturday in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.

In the first half, the Crusaders scored in the 20^th and 27^th minute to take a 2-0 lead into intermission. After the break, the Golden Tigers defense held fast until the 68^th minute when William Carey scored their third goal to secure the win.

William Carey outshot Brenau 19-2 for the match, while Golden Tiger keepers Anela Melton and Ashley Spring combined for five saves.

Brenau (5-5 overall, 1-2 SSAC) returns to the pitch on October 15^th at 6:00 eastern when the Golden Tigers play host to SSAC foe Brewton Parker (Ga.) College.
