Meaux Commits to Brenau Soccer
Brenau soccer announces the signing of Jensen Meaux to the 2015 team.
Meaux, a native of Winter Springs, Florida, is a left back for Winter Springs High School and the Orlando City Youth Soccer club.
During her high school career, Meaux was a four-year varsity starter who helped lead her teams to the district finals and regional quarterfinals in both 2012 and 2013. She also played on teams that appeared in the 2014 State Cup Sweet Sixteen and Elite Eight and finished in second place at the 2014 Disney Classic Tournament. Individually, Meaux was named Best Defender in 2014 and was both the top goal scorer and team MVP in 2011.
Meaux is an honors student who is a member of the National Honor Society, English Honor Society, Rho Kappa Honor Society, Key Club and serves as both a Senior Ambassador and editor of the yearbook. She is also a volunteer for the Orlando Youth Soccer club.
"I am thrilled to have Jensen join our 2015 team as she will make an immediate impact," said head coach Mike Lochstampfor. "She is a very hard worker, a great player and fills an important positional need as a player that is effective on the left side as either as a midfielder or a back. Jensen is an excellent student and will do very well at Brenau. I am excited that she has chosen to be a member of the Golden Tiger family."
She is the fourth member of the 2015 recruiting class and will join seven returning players to the 2015 team.
