Ellison and Jansen Named NAIA Scholar-Athletes

Brenau soccer players Kaylee Ellison and Jenna Jansen were named 2014 Daktronics-NAIA Women's Soccer Scholar-Athletes for their outstanding academic accomplishments.

Ellison, a junior from Auburn, Alabama, is a first-time scholar-athlete honoree, while Jansen, a senior from Danielsville, Georgia, was also honored as a scholar-athlete in 2013.

"I'm very proud of both Kaylee and Jenna for their commitment to excellence in everything they do," said head coach Mike Lochstampfor. "They are excellent student-athletes and are both very deserving of this recognition!"

Both Ellison and Jansen, have maintained their academic excellence throughout their careers as both were previously named Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) All-Academic team members in 2013.

In order to be nominated as an NAIA Scholar-Athlete award, an athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have obtained junior academic status.
