All-Star Signs with Brenau Soccer

Savannah, GA - Earlier this week, Elizabeth Campbell signed a letter of intent with the Brenau University soccer team. Campbell played at Richmond Hill during her high school career under Head Coach Steve Kollman. Additionally, she has played for several years with her club- the Coastal Georgia Soccer Association- under Coach Gary Wright. As a student-athlete, Campbell understood the importance of balancing her athletic and academic ambitions; she has already set her sights academically, and plans to major in either biology or sports medicine.

Over the course of the past four years, Elizabeth garnered awards in many categories at two different high schools including the following: MVP (for both the county and school - at Sequoyah HS, TN), Team Captain, Female Athlete of the Year, an invitation to play in the Coastal Empire Soccer All-Star Game, named Region 3A All-Star, and a member of the Region 3A First Team (Richmond Hill, HS, GA). Academically, she also took the spotlight, receiving the English Excellence Award.

Head Coach, Mike Lochstampfor, commented on his newest player by saying "Elizabeth is an excellent soccer player and I'm thrilled that she has made the decision to attend Brenau and play for our team this fall. She will undoubtedly make an immediate impact on our program. Elizabeth has excellent pace and can play in a couple of crucial roles for us; the impressive part of her game is the passion she will bring regardless of where she plays!"
