Golf Places Second at Pfeiffer Invitational

Mt. Gilead, NC- The Golden Tigers golf team placed second overall at the Jack Ingram/Pfeiffer Fall Invitational, hosted by Pfeiffer University on Tuesday. 

Eryn Blakely had a strong performance with an overall second place finish. The sophomore shot an 84-77-161 to finish only two shots out of first place. 

Other Golden Tiger finishers include sophomore Laura Kniess (80-89-169/T6), junior Sasha Baker (86-87-173/8th) and senior Ylenia Alcibiade Bennasar (88-86-174/T9). 

The squad shot an overall 338-339-677 to finish seven strokes behind overall champion Southern Virginia. Host Pfeiffer University placed third and Piedmont (Ga.) University captured fourth place. 

 The Golden Tigers close out their fall season at the Appalachian Athletic Conference tournament on October 23-24th.
