Golfers Receive 2023 WGCA Academic Honors
Coral Springs, Florida- The Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) named Brenau golfers Ylenia Alcibiade Bennasar and McKenzie McRee as 2022-23 All-American Scholars for their outstanding performance in the classroom this academic year.
To be selected as a WGCA All-American Scholar, a student-athlete must have an overall cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher, be an amateur and on the team's roster through the conclusion of the team's season and have played in 50% of the college’s regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year nominated through the team's conference championship.
A total of 1,401 women’s collegiate golfers and 378 teams from across all levels of college golf received this honor.
Both student-athletes also received 2022-23 AAC All-Academic Honors earlier this year.
