Golf Places Fifth at AAC Fall Preview
Greeneville, Tennessee- The Brenau golf team placed fifth at the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Fall Preview played at Link Hills Country Club on Monday and Tuesday.
The team posted a 325-329-654 (+78) at the tournament and finished nineteen strokes ahead of sixth place Reinhardt (Ga.) University.
Individually, senior Haylee Rhodes led the Golden Tigers with a 80-75-155 (+11) to tie for seventh place. The Dallas, Texas native started the final day 3-over after two holes, but rallied to finish the round with a team-best 75.
Sophomore Kaylee Stickney tied for 26th with a 79-85-164 and freshman Eryn Blakeley posted an 82-85-167 (+13) to tie for 31st place.
Other Golden Tiger finishers include junior Ylenia Alcibiade Bennasar (84-84-168/T34) and senior McKenzie McRee (90-90-180/47th).
Milligan (Tenn.) University won both the team and individual title with an overall team score of 607 and Kate Castle shot 143 (-1) to win low medalist honors.
The Golden Tigers wrap up the fall season at the Converse Fall Invite in Spartanburg, SC on October 30th- November 1st.
