Golf Takes 10th at East Tennessee Collegiate Invitational

Johnson City, Tennessee- The Brenau golf team placed tenth in a highly competitive field at the East Tennessee Collegiate Invitational played at the Johnson City Country Club on Monday and Tuesday.

The team posted a 337-345-682 (+98) at the tournament, ahead of conference rivals Columbia (S.C.) College and Montreat (N.C.) College.

Individually, freshman Eryn Blakeley led the Golden Tigers with a (83-83-166) to tie for 36th place, while sophomore Sasha Baker posted an 81-91-172 (+26) to place tied for 43rd.

Other Golden Tiger finishers include: junior Ylenia Alcibiade Bennasar (87-85-172/T43), senior McKenzie McRee (88-86-174/T49) and senior Haylee Rhodes (86-95-181/T56).

Milligan (Tenn.) University won the team title with an overall team score of 603, while SCAD Atlanta's Megan Ahmadi and Pikeville's Carly Crooks shared low medalist honors with a two-day total of 147..
