Golf Places Fifth at TWU Fall Invitational

Vonore, Tennessee- In the second event of the 2022 fall season, the Brenau golf team placed fifth at the 2022 TWU Fall Invitational played at Links of Kahite Golf Club on Saturday and Sunday.

The team posted a 332-336-668 (+92) to finish only one stroke behind fourth place Midway University (Ky.).

Individually, sophomore Sasha Baker made the All-Tournament team for her performance at the invitational. The Ontario native placed fifth overall and improved eleven strokes on day two to post an 83-72-155 (+11).

Other Golden Tiger finishers include: junior Ylenia Alcibiade Bennasar (82-83-165), senior McKenzie McRee (82-83-165), senior Haylee Rhodes (86-88-174), freshman Eryn Blakeley (81-93-174) and sophomore Kaylee Stickney (87-93-180).

Milligan (Tenn.) University won the team title with an overall team score of 613, while Bethel (Tenn.) University's Shelsea Vera earned low medalist honors with a 74-72-146 (+2).

The Golden Tigers continue their fall slate at the East Tennessee Collegiate Tournament on September 25-27th.
