Golf Places Tenth at Skyhawk Invitational
Pine Mountain, Georgia- The Brenau golf team placed tenth at the Skyhawk Spring Invitational hosted at the Lake View Golf Course at Callaway Gardens on Monday and Tuesday.
The Golden Tigers struggled on the second day of competition as the squad shot a 357 in the final round for a two day total of 695.
Sophomore Ylenia Bennasar led the squad with a 79-87-166 (T28), while freshman Sasha Baker improved over the tournament with a 92-83-175 (T46).
Junior Haylee Rhodes and junior McKenzie McRee both posted 177 to tie for fiftieth place and freshman Kaylee Stickney rounded out the scorers with a 97-106-203 (64).
Southeastern (Fla.) University won top team honors with a 589 and Truett McConnell (Ga.) University's MinJi Kang won low medalist with a 69-73-142.
Brenau next hosts the Golden Tigers Invitational at Chattahoochee Country Club in Gainesville from March 13-15.
