Golf Opens Fall Slate at Point Invitational
Lanett, Alabama- The Brenau golf team opened its fall schedule with a fourth place finish at the Point Invitational tournament this past weekend.
Freshman Sasha Baker opened her collegiate career with a solid 84-84-168 to place in a tie for 14th place, while junior Haylee Rhodes matched her teammate by posting a two-day total of 85-83-168.
Other Golden Tiger finishers include: Ylenia Bennasar (85-84-169/18th place), McKenzie McRee (90-87-177/25th) and Kaylee Stickney (93-87-180/T-28).
Truett McConnell (Ga.) University topped the team leaderboard with a 315, while host Point (Ga.) University finished two strokes behind with a 317 to capture second place.
Brenau next competes at the East Tennessee Collegiate Invitational on September 27-28th in Johnson City, Tenn.
