Golf Enters Top-25 in Golfstat Rankings
Gainesville, Georgia- After a solid fall season, the Brenau golf team earned a top-25 ranking for the first time since 2017, according to Golfstat's NAIA Women's Team Rankings.
According to head coach Jason DeJiacomo, "I am extremely proud of this team and the way they've endured this season so far. COVID has really changed the landscape of everything, especially how tournaments are being played. Through all that though, these women have not only adjusted, but played well!"
The Golden Tigers squad was one of three Appalachian Athletic Conference teams to crack the latest top-25 list, joining Milligan (Tenn.) College who is ranked seventh overall and Truett McConnell (Ga.) University who sits in 22nd place.
The team previously reached a program-best 3rd place NAIA national ranking in 2017.
"We still have a lot of work to do and our best golf is still ahead of us! That only means that we can move higher up the rankings from here. I'm very excited to see where we can go in the spring. I would love to end the year ranked inside the Top-15!!"
