Golf Adds Local Standout

Brenau golf announces the signing of Kayla Watson to the 2016-17 team.

Watson, a Gainesville, Ga. native, is the daughter of Sandy and Eric Watson and a graduate of Chestatee High School.

The standout was a three sport athlete, excelling in golf, basketball and softball, and was a top five finisher at the 2016 Hall County Championships.

When asked about her commitment to Brenau, Watson stated, "I believe that Brenau is not only a great school to pursue my golf career, but also a great school to pursue my education."

Head coach Damon Stancil noted about his latest signee, "I feel very fortunate to add Kayla to our team in 2016. She's a crossover athlete that has excelled in 3 sports. Her potential to become an exceptional collegiate golfer is clear to see when evaluating her swing mechanics and seeing her willingness to put in the hard work necessary to play our great game at a high level."

Watson, who plans on majoring in Education, is the second signee for the 2016-17 golf team.
