Omidi Commits To Brenau Golf
Brenau golf is pleased to announce the signing of Ashley Omidi to the 2016-17 team.
Omidi, a native of Surrey, British Columbia, is a standout player with a strong competitive golf background.
During her career, Omidi put together several top-20 finishes, including one tournament win. She captured the top spot in the MJT National Pines Tournament, while also placing in the top-15 in two other major tournaments-the Canadian Future Links Western Championship (12th place) and the MJT Odlum Brown PGA Classic of British Columbia (13th place). She also finished in the top-50 at the Canadian Junior Amateur Nationals, shooting a four-day average of 81.
When asked about her commitment, Omidi said, "I feel like Brenau is a great school to pursue my nursing career as well as improve my golf game with a very supportive team and coach."
Head coach Damon Stancil noted, "Ashley is an excellent addition to both the University and the Golden Tigers golf team. She brings a strong work ethic which is reflected by her successes in the classroom and on the golf course."
Omidi is the first signee for the Golden Tigers golf team for 2016-17.
