Basketball Receives 2026 AAC Postseason Honors
Waleska, Georgia- Members of the Brenau basketball team received recognition for their outstanding achievement on the hardwood and in the classroom, the conference office announced on Tuesday.
Junior forward Caylie Long received multiple AAC postseason honors in her first season as a Golden Tiger. The Powder Springs, Ga. native received "Newcomer of the Year" recognition as well as being named to both the AAC First-Team All-Conference list and the AAC All-Defensive team after posting 14.3 points per game and 6.3 rebounds per game this season. Long was ranked in the top-10 in the conference in scoring, rebounding, steals and blocks.
Sophomore Jael Flinn also received AAC All-Defensive Team honors for her play this season. In her first year as a starter, Flinn led the squad in both rebounds per game (7.0) and blocks per game (0.9), which were ranked 5th and 4th respectively in the conference. Flinn garnered both NAIA and AAC Defensive Player of the Week honors earlier ithis season.
Junior Jerrica Bryant also received AAC Champions of Character team recognition for the Golden Tigers. Champions of Character team members best represent the NAIA's Five Core Values of Integrity, Respect, Responsibility, Sportsmanship, and Servant Leadership.
Bryant and Long also joined teammates Emelia Askew, Sara Grace (S.G.) Bertolini, Ashanti Bowers, Anna Gliatta, Kristina Peach, Aiyanna Peavy, Sammi Spees, and Sydney Woyce on the 2026 AAC All-Academic Team. All-Academic team members must have at least a cumulative 3.25 grade point average and have at at least sophomore academic status.
