Bolt Commits to Brenau Basketball

The Brenau basketball team announces the signing of Maggee Bolt to the 2017-18 team.

Bolt, the daughter of Tamie and Roger Bolt, is a standout player at T.L. Hanna High School in Anderson, South Carolina and for the Lady Chargers AAU program.

During her scholastic career, Bolt was a four year starter who averaged 12.8 points, four assists and three steals per game. During her senior season, Bolt was voted as a 1-AAAAA Preseason Top South Carolina Senior and led the region in three point shooting. She was also selected as a Hartwell Christmas Tournament All-Tournament Team member and helped lead her high school to a 21-4 record.

Bolt said of her commitment to Brenau: "Having visited a lot of basketball programs and schools, Brenau rose to the top because of the coaching staff and their top nursing program. Coming from a large school, I look forward to getting to know everyone and developing new friendships instead of just being a number."

Brenau head coach Kris Stewart noted, "Maggee is an experienced player from a strong high school program who is a very good shooter and is a smart player. She is also an exceptional student and I think she will be a strong contributor to both our athletic and academic programs."

Bolt, who plans on majoring in nursing, is the second signee for the 2017-18 basketball class.
