Bulldogs Best Tigers in Season Opener

The Brenau Golden Tigers basketball team tipped off the season at Tennessee Wesleyan on Tuesday night. Despite a valiant effort, Brenau came away with a 62-58 loss.

Freshman, Autumn Dodson (Jefferson City, TN) led Brenau with an impressive 17 point total in her college debut and was 5 for 7 from three point territory. Kalin Williams (Palmetto, Ga), contributed 15 points in the losing effort and Dominique Patrick chipped 9 points and 6 assists. Nekeia Brown led the team on the boards with 9 rebounds.

The Golden Tigers return to action at home this weekend when they take on Montreat College (NC) in a 5:30 game on Friday, November 7th. Next up is a match-up with NAIA foe Reinhardt University in a Saturday game scheduled for a 2pm tip-off. Both games will be at Brenau's gymnasium in Gainesville, Ga.
