Coach Stewart Signs Myka Lightfoot

Coach Kris Stewart announces the signing of Myka Lightfoot as a member of the Golden Tigers basketball team for 2012-2013. Myka, a native of Riverdale, Georgia, is a graduate of North Atlanta High School.

Coach Kris Stewart notes that "Myka has been very passionate about attending Brenau. Her enthusiasm and shooting ability will definitely be assets to the team".

Myka, a 5'7 shooting guard, averaged 12 points, 3 assists and 2 steals per game while shooting over 40% from 3 point range. When asked about her signing, Myka said that it was her dream to play college basketball and she wanted to "thank Coach Stewart and Brenau University for giving me my dream".

"Myka is a great competitor, hard worker, and a great kid to have on a team. She is a great student and is always looking to help her classmates and friends however she can. I have enjoyed every moment of coaching her and watching her develop into not just a great player but a wonderful young lady as well. There is still more to come from Myka and I know Coach Stewart will be a benefit when she fully reaches her potential on and off the court!" says Julius Brown, Myka's AAU Coach.
