Brenau Drops Critical SSAC Game at Emmanuel

The Golden Tigers traveled to Franklin Springs, GA yesterday to face conference rival Emmanuel College and came home with a tough 71-78 loss. The game was close the whole way, with Brenau (12-17; SSAC 6-12) down by one point with 40 seconds to play in the contest. The Tigers struggled from the free throw line for the game, shooting just 58% from the stripe while also getting out-rebounded by the Bears (17-12; SSAC 12-6) 44-35.

Leading all scorers was Emmanuel's Kaylan Young with 23 points. Brenau's effort was led by junior Gabby Harvey, turning in another impressive double-double performance with 18 points on 7-10 shooting and 14 rebounds. Junior Nikki Reed added 16 points while sophomore Brittney Wiley put up 10 points and 6 assists.

Brenau will host Southern Wesleyan University, SC on Saturday at 2:00 p.m., in their last regular season matchup. This game will also serve as the Golden Tiger's Senior Night, recognizing Snellville, GA native Amanda Parker, in her final regular season game.
