Reed Leads Tigers to Win at Columbia

Columbia, SC- Freshman Nikki Reed (St. Pius) scored her career high tonight to lead the Brenau Golden Tigers (17-9, 6-7) to a big win over Columbia 75-46. Reed added four rebounds and three steals and she was joined in double figures by Ashley Hagans (15) and Sarah Ledford (10) as 10 players scored in the game. Meg Henson had seven assists and six rebounds to lead in those categories and Paige Cooper had six steals.The game was never in doubt as the Tigers opened a 10-2 early lead on the way to a 44-25 halftime advantage. Brenau shot .500 from the field while holding the Koalas to .300 and won the battle of the boards 40-36. The Tigers also forced 27 turnovers with their pressure defense. Brenau has two more games this week as the season winds down next week. They will travel to Berry on Thursday and Shorter on Saturday.
