Ledford Selected Golden Tiger of the Week

Gainesville, GA- Senior Sarah Ledford (Ellijay) has been selected as Golden Tiger of the Week for the week of Feb. 2-9 by the coaching staff at Brenau University. Ledford has averaged 13 points per game over the last four games and has returned to the starting lineup in leading the Tigers to three out of four wins over that span. Sarah was one of the first recruits to the new basketball program that launched in 2006. Earlier this season, she reached the 1,000 point plateau in a game at Georgia Southwestern in Americus."I am so pleased to see Sarah playing so well at this point in her career," said Coach Gary Bays. "She has been one of the cornerstones of this young program and really helped us get started." The Tigers will travel to Southern Wesleyan on Thursday for an important SSAC matchup.
