Wilson Named Golden Tiger of the Week

Gainesville, GA- Senior Vicky Wilson (Buford) has been named Golden Tiger of the Week by the coaching staff at Brenau University for her performances in two games during the week of Jan. 25-Feb.1. Wilson started out the week with a 17 point, seven rebound and four assist outing against Reinhardt last Monday in a 80-68 win for the Tigers. She went 4-9 from the three point line and hit 5-6 free throws. She came back on Thursday with a career best 25 points and 10 rebounds and added four more assists in a double overtime 83-80 loss to AUM. "Vicky has been a mainstay in this basketball program for four years, and it's nice to see her hard work gain this recognition," said Coach Gary Bays. Brenau will host #17 Southern Poly on Thursday in an important SSAC game that will also serve as Pink Week during which the women of Brenau are raising money for Breast Cancer Research.
