Hagans Named SSAC Player of the Week

Gainesville, GA- Senior Ashley Hagans (Snellville) has been selected as the Southern States Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the week of Jan. 4-11. She becomes the first Golden Tigers basketball player to receive this honor. Hagans averaged 24 points, including 10-18 from the three point line, collected 17 rebounds, nine assists and eight steals in the three games she played.The Tigers won all three games, including two conference games, to run their season record to 10-4 and their SSAC mark to 3-2. Ashley was also selected by the coaching staff at Brenau as Golden Tiger of the Week for the same time period. She was the leading scorer in the NAIA last season and was selected as an Honorable Mention All American. Brenau will return to action Thursday at 6 pm with a home contest against Berry.
