Moon and Power Recognized as NFCA All-Americans
Louisville, Ky. — Golden Tiger softball standouts Ava Moon and Dayton Power continued to add to their impressive postseason résumés Thursday, as both were named 2026 National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) NAIA First Team All-Americans.
Moon, a dominant force at the plate throughout the season, led the Golden Tigers with a .493 batting average, ranking fourth nationally. The Watkinsville, Georgia, native compiled a .523 on-base percentage while recording 76 hits, 53 RBIs, and 15 doubles on her way to earning NFCA First Team All-America honors. The recognition marks Moon's second national accolade of the postseason after she was named an NAIA All-American earlier this week.
Power also earned her first career NFCA All-America selection following a stellar junior campaign. One of the nation's most dangerous threats on the basepaths, the Braselton, Georgia, native totaled 49 stolen bases, 76 hits, 107 total bases, and 67 runs scored. In addition to her NFCA honor, Power was named an NAIA All-American and earned Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Player of the Year honors after a standout 2026 season.
The NFCA All-America teams are voted on by the Association's All-America Committees. In NAIA, the committee is composed of one member head coach from each of the NAIA's six regions. All student-athletes who were nominated by a member head coach and voted to the first or second team All-Region squads were eligible for All-America consideration.
The NFCA is the professional organization for fastpitch softball coaches. Known for its highly-regarded coaches polls and All-America awards, the NFCA also educates and supports softball coaches on a variety of different levels: from podcasts to awards, to in-person events and National Convention.
