Kingsport, Tennessee- The Brenau softball team defeated Milligan (Tenn.) University 3-0 in the opening round of the 2025 Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) softball championships on Monday..
Freshman starter Emily Hall overwhelmed the Buffs with a complete game shutout to secure the victory.
The Golden Tigers scored three runs in the bottom of the third inning as Ava Moon, Whitney Hulsey and Allie McGee each drove in runs to support Hall and help the team advance in the tournament.
Brenau (30-14 overall, 18-10 AAC) next faces second-seeded Bryan (Tenn.) College (28-12 overall) on Tuesday at 5 pm.
