Softball Splits a Pair with Kentucky Christian
Grayson, Kentucky- The Brenau softball team split a pair of conference matches against Kentucky Christian University in an Appalachian Athletic Conference doubleheader on Saturday.
In the opening game, Brenau pounded out 12 hits enroute to a 9-6 victory over the host Crusaders.
Senior Kasey Blair led the charge with three hits, while fellow senior Shea Reagor added two hits. Sophomore Abigail Brown drove in three runs and Carley Cox added two RBIs.
In the second game, Brenau outhit Kentucky Christian but was unable to clinch the victory as the home team escaped with a 10-8 win.
Blair continued her torrid day with two more hits, while Reagor added two hits in the loss.
Brenau (26-13 overall, 19-9 AAC) closes out the regular season against Faulkner (Ala.) University (22-14 overall) on Senior Day on Wednesday at 4:00 pm. The Golden Tigers will recognize its seniors after the conclusion of the second game.
