Softball Picked Second in 2020 AAC Preseason Poll
Asheville, North Carolina- The Brenau softball team was picked second in the 2020 Appalachian Athletic Conference Coaches' Preseason Poll, the conference announced on Friday.
Fresh off their 2019 AAC Tournament Championship, the Golden Tigers received 151 total votes-including two first-place votes- to finish just behind the 2019 regular-season champions, Truett McConnell (Ga.) College.
Reinhardt (Ga.) University sits in third place with 143 points, Tennessee Wesleyan University is at four with 26 points, and Union (Ky.) College rounds out the top five with 125 points.

The AAC Tournament is set for April 21-25 at the Brickyard Ball Fields in Kingsport, Tenn. The tournament field has been expanded to 10 teams with the No. 7-10 seeds playing in a play-in game on Tuesday, April 21, to see which two teams advance to the double-elimination portion of the tournament.
The Golden Tigers open the 2020 season on February 15th against Agnes Scott (Ga.) College in a 1 pm doubleheader at Ernest Ledford Grindle Park in Gainesville.
