Shepherd Named NAIA All-American
Senior Jenny Shepherd was named an NAIA Honorable Mention All-American for her play during the 2013-2014 season.
The honor caps off a standout career for the Martinez, Georgia native who was also chosen as an All-American in 2011 when she was named both NAIA First Team All-American and Louisville Slugger First Team All-American.
"Jenny is well deserving of this honor," said head coach Devon Thomas. "She set a school record for strikeouts in a season (216), stepped in and played shortstop when she was not on the mound pitching and as a senior captain really led this team to another 30-plus winning season. I am very proud of her and the commitment she had to Brenau on the field and in the classroom".
The 21st ranked Golden Tigers finished the season 34-13 and return twelve players for 2014-2015.
