Shepherd Selected As SSAC Pitcher of the Week

MONTGOMERY, Ala.- Jenny Shepherd of Brenau University has been named the Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) Softball Pitcher of the Week for the week of April 14, 2014.

Shepherd had a great week on the mound picking up 3 more victories to add to her team high 15 wins on the season highlighted by a 4 hit, 8 strikeout performance against #10 Spring Hill. Along with her 15 wins, Shepherd is carrying a 1.56 ERA and has a total of 142 strike outs on the season placing her 2nd in the conference in strikeouts, 3rd in wins, 4th in opponents' batting average and 5th in the conference in ERA.

Brenau (25-9, 10-8 SSAC) travels to face No. 2 Auburn-Montgomery (Ala.) University on Tuesday.
