Softball Adds All-Region Player

Brenau softball announces the signing of Allison Gunn (Toccoa, Ga.) to the 2013-2014 softball team.

Gunn, a four year starter at Stephens County High School, holds seven single season records. In 2011 she was named the Best Offensive Player for her high school team and was selected as an all-region performer. She is an honor graduate who also participated in track and cheerleading during her high school career.

"Allison is a very versatile player. She can hit for power and average from the right side of the plate and use her speed from the left side of the plate as a slapper as well," said Head Coach Devon Thomas. "She is a very solid defensive player in the outfield and can also play middle infield as well. She will be a good fit in our lineup adding more speed to a power-based offensive team from last season."

Gunn, who plans on majoring in biology, is the third signee for Brenau this year. The Golden Tigers softball team is currently ranked #20 in the latest NAIA national rankings.
