Maness Named SSAC Pitcher of the Week

Gainesville, GA - Today, the Southern States Athletic Conference has announced the "One Path Systems SSAC Players of the Week". Sophomore pitcher, Anna Maness, from Seagrove, NC, was recognized for her exceptional performance on the mound, by being named SSAC Pitcher of the Week. This past week, she contributed heavily to #12 Brenau University's victories over #20 Shorter University and Emmanuel College. Maness ended the regular season the way she began the season, with another no hitter! Having said that, she helped the Golden Tigers end their regular season with a 39-7 overall record, while going 23-5 in conference. This was her 4th no hitter of the season, and also her 16th shutout of the season. Maness had a great game against Shorter University only allowing only 3 hits and walking 0 batters, while striking out 6, in the 3-0 victory.

Maness and the rest of her team are now focused on shutting out their conference opponents in the SSAC Tournament, in Columbus, GA.
