Brenau Wins Fourth Annual Hit-a-Thon

Cleveland, GA- The Brenau softball team participated in the Fourth Annual Hit-A-Thon today against Truett McConnell at the White County Park and came away with a couple of exhibition wins, 14-0 and 6-0. The team gathered sponsors who donated according to the length of each hit as a fundraiser to help supplement the annual budget. Coach Devon Thomas described the event as a good way to start the fall portion of their program and was well pleased with the effort of his team. The Tigers, who shared the SSAC regular season championship and advanced to the NAIA National Championships last spring, is gearing up for another run with a lot of new players and Thomas said, "Our pitching was good and it was a great team performance with a group that is very athletic." BU will travel to Furman University next weekend to continue their fall schedule.
