Competition Cheer Places Sixth at NCA Championships
Daytona Beach, Fla.-The Brenau competition cheerleading team finished sixth at the National Cheerleaders Association (NCA) College Nationals held from April 4-6.
"I am very proud of how well the girls performed this weekend," said head coach Krista Britt. "It was not the outcome we desired, however, it was a weekend for growth moving forward."
The Golden Tigers amassed 92.100 points, falling just short of overall champion Curry College's 93.208 team score. Iowa Central secured second place with 93.029, while Framingham State University (93.187) and Bridgewater State (92.837) rounded out the top five finishers.
"Our division was packed with talent and the competition was tight," said Britt. "I look forward to getting back to the grind with our amazingly talented athletes. "
