Cheer Notches Top Ten Finish at Nationals
The Brenau competition cheerleading team competed at the National Cheerleaders Association (NCA) Championships from April 5th-8th at Daytona Beach, Florida.
The squad scored 88.45 points to place eighth out of the fifteen teams that advanced to the NCA finals.
Davenport (MI) University won the overall competition with a score of 96.48, Bridgewater (MA) State University (94.32) and Elmira (NY) University (93.18) rounded out the top three.
"The girls did amazing this past weekend," said head coach Krista Britt. "We had some adversity to overcome during prelims, but the girls stepped it up and did what they needed to do. I could not be more proud. A top-ten consecutive finish for the sixth year in a row exemplifies the strength and competitiveness of our cheer program."
