Cheer Signs First Commit For 2014

The Brenau University Cheer team announces the signing of Alyssa Biggs to the 2014-2015 squad.

Biggs, a native of Commerce, Ga, is the daughter of Diana and Blyth Biggs and is a standout athlete and student who was a member of the Commerce High School Region A State Championship team. In addition to her championship experience, she was a member of the Pro Cheer All-Star team in 2013 and 2014.

Along with her athletic accomplishments, Biggs is an accomplished volunteer in her community. She has served as a volunteer at Athens Regional Hospital and was an active Key Club member who was involved in Clean Up Commerce, Special Olympics and Trick-or-Treat for Unicef.

"We are thrilled to have Alyssa join our team next year," said head coach Krista Britt. "She is an extremely talented and committed athlete. Her skills and work ethic will fit in nicely with our program."

Biggs, who plans on majoring in Nursing, is the first signee for the 2014-2015 class.
