Competitive Cheer Signs Local Athlete

Coach Krista Britt announces the signing of Amber Davenport to the 2013-2014 competitive cheerleading team.

Davenport, the daughter of Jill and Terry Davenport, is a native of Gainesville, Ga. She chose Brenau because of its academic reputation and family atmosphere. "Brenau is a great school and one of the best places to go when major in Nursing," said Davenport. "When I went to the cheer clinic and met the team, I loved how everyone was so close like a family and I wanted to be part of that".

"We are excited to have signed Amber," said Coach Krista Britt. "She is an extremely talented athlete with the stunting and tumbling skills we were looking to add to the team."

Amber, a Nursing major, is the ninth signee of the 2013-2014 class.
