
Brenau Swimming announces the commitment of Talia Sola (Alcala de Henares Madrid, Spain), to the Golden Tigers Swim Team for fall 2013.

Brenau Swimming announces their third recruit for the 2013-2014 season, Courtney Hayward. A native of (Townsville, Queensland, AUS.), Courtney is an elite open water swimmer, having won five Queensland titles in the 5K and 10K distances and placing 3rd and 4th respectively at the Australian National Open Water Championships. Hayward has excelled in 200IM, 400 IM and 800 Free events at the Queensland Age Group Championships- earning bronze in all three events.

Shelby Rumker of Douglas, Ga. has committed to swim with the Brenau University Golden Tigers in Fall 2013. A transfer from South Georgia College, Shelby brings two years of college swimming experience and numerous accolades, including five SGC team records and earned All American status in three individual events. Coach CM Jenkins coached Shelby since the young age of 8 and recruited her to the two-year institution, before signing with Brenau.

Freestyle sprinter and breaststroker, Sophie Nasstrom of Sweden, has committed to swim for the Brenau University Golden Tigers beginning this fall.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the 2013 Women's Swimming & Diving All-Americans. Honors were awarded to the top-three finishers in each event and the swimmers of the top-three finishing relay teams at the 33rd annual NAIA Women's Swimming & Diving National Championships held Feb. 27 - March 2 at Oklahoma City Community College in Oklahoma City, Okla.
The honors for the Golden Tigers come on the heels of the team's best finish since the program was re-instated in 2005. The 2013 team finished in 6th place overall bettering last year's finish by two places. The Tigers will return all but Hannah Boudreaux to next year's team.

On the final day of the NAIA National Swimming Championships, Brenau totaled 259 points, to secure a 6th place finish to improve upon their 8th place finish in 2012.
