The long bus trip over to South Carolina did not hamper the efforts of the Golden Tigers as they came prepared to compete against three established swim programs on Thursday evening. Swimming in their final regular season meet before heading to ASC Conference Championships and NAIA Nationals, Brenau swimmers put on a show for spectators on Thursday evening delivering a total of four 1st place finishes, four personal best times, and a new team record.

Despite competing in only one day of a two day competition, Brenau (383 points) came in a solid second place finish behind host Berry College (504 points) in the Viking Invitational. Rounding out the four team meet were South Georgia College (328 points) and LaGrange College (156 points); finishing the meet in 3rd and 4th places respectively.

The Golden Tigers went on the road for their first meet of the new year and came home victorious beating host LaGrange College, Warren Wilson College (NC), and South Georgia College in the process. Brenau scored 102 points to lead the field followed by South Georgia (44), Warren Wilson (42), and LaGrange 16.

GAINESVILLE, Ga - The Brenau University athletics department has announced Hannah Boudreaux as the newest Golden Tiger of the Week. 

The junior, from Lafayette, LA, is currently ranked No. 1 in the nation, in the 3 events: the 200 fly (2:08), the 200 IM (2:10), and the 400 IM (4:33).

The Brenau swim team competed in the SCAD Invitational this past weekend, finishing 5th out of 9 teams. During the weekend's competition the aggressive team set 9 new team records, 16 personal records, 4 NAIA national qualifying "A" standards achieved, and 6 National "B" standards achieved. 
 
Individually, Hannah set 3 new personal best times, 3 new school records, and was a relay member of 3 relays that set new school records. 
 
Boudreaux's highlighted times for the meet were in the 200 butterfly (2:08.13) and the 400 IM (4:33.55). Hannah has helped the Golden Tigers to dominate the water, as they rank No. 1 in 11 individual conference events, top 5 of all NAIA relays, top 10 in 11 individual events in the NAIA, and No. 1 in all 5 conference relays.
 

The Golden Tigers will be back in action January 13th, at the Warren Wilson Tri-meet.
