2009 Soccer Coaches
Mike Lochstampfor will begin his eighth season as the Head Coach of the Golden Tigers Soccer program, where he has posted a 59-52-10 record, including a program best 11-6-1 in 2008. Lochstampfor has amassed 113 wins during his collegiate coaching career at four different schools. He started at Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, TX and in the two years he coached there, the team reached the NAIA National Tournament, including an appearance in the championship game in 1991. Mike then moved on to Reinhardt College in Waleska, where he started a new men's program and led them to regional prominence at the junior college level. Next up was a stint at Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, where he served as the Director of the Men's and Women's Soccer programs and coached both teams. He compiled a 52-49-5 record with the women's team before accepting the position at Brenau in 2002.
Lochstampfor was an outstanding player at Covenant College in Lookout Mountain, TN, where he was named to the NAIA All-American team twice in addition to numerous All-Region and All-Conference awards. He has also played semi-professional soccer in the U.S and overseas.
Lochstampfor, who has also recently assumed the role of Athletic Director at Brenau, has been married to his wife, Missy for 13 years and they have two children, Madison, 10 and Cole, 6.
