Susan McIntyre - Head Coach - 4th Season
Susan McIntyre has coached cross country at the college level for three years, all of which have been at Brenau University and her rebuilding program should bear fruit this year with the return of five key runners and a best ever fourth place finish at last season's conference championships. McIntyre began her coaching career at North Forsyth High School in 2000 and during her five-year tenure, the program flourished with the girls team finishing as runners-up at the Georgia State Championships in 2003 and two other Top 10 finishes. She also had two girls finish in the top ten individually at state for three years in a row. She also coached the boys team to two appearances in the state meet. Susan also competes in endurance competitions and has won the 24 Hours of Adrenaline Mountain Bike Race in Conyers as a solo rider. She is a regular at the Peachtree Road Race and the Atlanta Half Marathon. She has been married to husband Doug for twenty-nine years and has three children: Ryan, who graduated from Northwood University in 2007; Zack, a midshipman at the Naval Academy; and Corey, who runs for the North Georgia College cross country team.
