Andre Ferreira prepares for his second season with the Brenau University Tennis team, which is considered to be one of the premiere tennis programs in the NAIA.  Ferreira served as the Tennis Assistant Professional at Idle Hour Country Club in Macon since May of this year.  Prior to that, he was the Assistant Men's and Women's Tennis Coach at his alma mater, Berry College from May, 2008 until May, 2010.

Andre, who grew up in Sao Paulo, Brazil, came to the United States in the Fall of 2004 on a tennis scholarship to Berry College, where he played for all four years.  He graduated with a B.S. in Health and Physical Education in May of 2008.  He also completed his Master of Business Administration, this past summer. 

During his time at Berry, Andre assisted with the Clay Hightower Tennis Camp and the Darlington Tennis Camp in Rome as a tennis instructor and counselor.  He was also active in the Athletes Bettering the Community program for four years.  Ferreira is a certified P-1 member of the United States Professional Tennis Association.
