The Golden Tigers traveled to Cleveland, Tennessee on Thursday evening to face #6 NAIA nationally ranked SSAC opponent Lee University (20-1; SSAC 12-0). Trailing the Lee University Flames for the entirety of the game, the Tigers (9-11; SSAC 4-7) failed to get into a rhythm and came up short in the contest by a final score of 49-73.
Coming off their best shooting game of the season against Truett-McConnell, Brenau shot just 35% from the field and 10% from the 3-point line. Lee connected on 47% from the field while shooting an impressive 50% from the arc. In a rare defeat on the boards, the Flames also out-rebounded the Golden Tigers 37-28.

Lee was led by four players in double figures: Angela Spann with 20, Karley Miller with 12, and Hollie German and Madison Lee with 11. The Golden Tigers were led by junior Gabby Harvey with 8 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 assists, junior Olivia Williams with 8 on 3-5 shooting, and sophomore Brittney Wiley with 7.

Brenau returns to action on Saturday in a home contest against SSAC opponent Emmanuel College. Emmanuel College is currently ranked third in the East Division of the conference and brings an overall record of 11-10 and an SSAC reord of 6-4 to the match-up. Game time is set for 2pm at Brenau University, Gainesville, GA.
