Kate Mazackova

Montgomery, AL- After the first day of action at the ITA South Regional Championships, Brenau's Kate Mazackova is still alive in singles action and will team up with Lyn See Choo in the finals of the doubles tournament. Brenau is competing in the tournament with Auburn Montgomery, who are the reigning NAIA National Champions.
Lyn See Choo was seeded #1 in the singles tournament, but was upset by Whitney Byrd 7-5/6-4.
Jolene Wong faced off against teammate Hannah Thompson and prevailed 7-6/6-0. Eline Nagels fell to Nathalie Sienkob 6-3/6-4 and Mazackova defeated Hannah Appleyard 7-6/6-0. Morgane Zwoczak of AUM defeated Wong 6-3/6-3.
In doubles action, Mazackova and Choo defeated Appleyard and Byrd 8-5 and Sienkob/Zwoczak got past Wong and Nagels 8-4.
