Gainesville, Ga - Canadian native Erin Brinks will be transferring to Brenau this fall to join the Golden Tigers soccer program after helping Middle Georgia College win their first ever Region 17 Championship last fall.  Brinks was named to the Division I GJCAA  All Region team in 2009.

Erin began her soccer career inBeaverton, Ontario, Canada playing in the Brock Soccer Club for nine years.  She then played CGSL for th4 Uxbridge Storm U16 in 2006 and played in the Ontario Youth Soccer League for the Barrie Spirit, U17 and U18.  She was the recipient of the Brock High School Female Soccer Award as a senior.

Bob Tilley, Erin's club coach had this to say about her, "Erin is highly coachable and during the time I had the privilege of having her on my squad, she was always looking to better her performance.  She played at almost 100% of available playing time; which is exceptional for any player.  For a player to be given this amount of playing time shows she is performing and contributing significantly to the team!"

Middle Georgia Coach Vinny Gill said, "Erin Brinks is a unique soccer player.  On our team, she was by far the leading assist person and her unselfishness is a big part of our team's success last year.  Erin is a player who understands her job about getting back and she is always willing to work hard. She has the prototype body of a division one player and I see her being very successful in the future."

"Erin is yet another player in our recruiting efforts this year that will fill a huge need for us - most likely as an outside midfielder.  She has nice size and pace, is a very hard worker and will be able to run on the right flank and help us both attack and defend.  She is an excellent crosser of the ball and will work well with our style of play.  I'm very excited to have her join our program and feel like she will make significant contributions to our team!" said Brenau Head Coach Mike Lochstampfor.
