NAIA #6 Brenau Tennis Team

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced that 115 women's tennis players have been named 2009-10 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes. Roberts Wesleyan College (N.Y.), a member of the American Mideast Conference, placed six athletes on the list.

Nominated by each institution's head coach, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and have achieved junior academic status to qualify.

Senior Jolene Wong (Singapore), and Juniors Liubov Orlova (Russia) and Nellie Martirosyan (Armenia) were named to the list of distinguished scholars from the Brenau tennis team. 
 
In other post-season honors, Sophomore Lyn See Choo (Malaysia)  was named as the Southern Region's  Player to Watch by the ITA (International Tennis Association.
